⚠️ Community Notice: Digital Landline Switchover

Aberdeenshire Council is reminding residents about the UK-wide Digital Landline Switchover, which will see traditional telephone services move to digital technology delivered over broadband.
Unlike older landlines, digital phone services will not work during a power cut unless suitable backup arrangements are in place.

Residents, particularly those who use telecare alarms, health pendants, security systems or other devices connected to their phone line, are encouraged to contact their telephone provider to understand how the change may affect them and what support is available.
More information is available from Ofcom and your telephone provider.

Aberdeenshire Council have provided an advice note that you can download here.
