About Us

Serving the Gartly community

Welcome to the Gartly Community Association (GCA) – a registered charity dedicated to serving the residents of our small rural community in Aberdeenshire.

Established in 2014, our mission is to advance community development within the Parish of Gartly, provide recreational facilities, and uphold the cultural traditions cherished at our beloved Gartly Community Hall, affectionately known as the "Tin Hut."

At GCA, we proudly continue the legacy of the former Gartly Community Hall Committee, taking on the responsibility of maintaining and developing our cherished community hall. As a focal point for community activities and events, the Tin Hut holds a special place in our hearts. Beyond preserving local heritage, we strive to promote a strong community spirit and enhance the quality of life for all Gartly residents. Our passionate team of volunteers works tirelessly to organize engaging social gatherings, community workshops, sports and recreational activities, fundraising events, and community improvement projects.

Led by a dedicated committee, our association places the well-being of the local community at the forefront of everything we do. We not only address local concerns but also work towards broader issues that affect our beloved area.

In summary, Gartly Community Association stands as a beacon of community support, striving to enhance the lives of our residents. We embrace our heritage, offer recreational facilities, and foster a warm and inclusive atmosphere through our various initiatives. With a heart for service, our devoted volunteers make Gartly a place where everyone can call home.
